At-Home Organic Acids Test
Go beyond measuring nutrients—discover how your body may be using them.
The US BioTek 62 Organic Acids Profile analyzes metabolic byproducts in urine to provide a detailed view of nutrient utilization, cellular energy production and essential biochemical pathways.
This advanced functional assessment may help identify patterns associated with increased nutritional needs or imbalances that could be contributing to concerns such as low energy, mood changes, metabolic stress and digestive discomfort.
What This Test Evaluates
- Vitamin and nutritional cofactor utilization
- Mitochondrial and cellular energy production
- Fatty-acid and carbohydrate metabolism
- B-complex vitamin and amino-acid pathways
- Methylation-related nutrient markers
- Neurotransmitter metabolism
- Oxidative stress and antioxidant activity
- Detoxification and glutathione-related pathways
- Bacterial, yeast and fungal metabolites
- Oxalate metabolism
- Additional functional nutrient markers
Functional Nutrient Insights
Rather than measuring only what is present in the body at one moment, organic acids testing evaluates metabolic byproducts that may provide insight into how efficiently nutrients are being absorbed, processed and utilized.
Results can help guide more personalized conversations about:
- Food and dietary choices
- Vitamin and mineral support
- Antioxidant needs
- Energy and mitochondrial support
- Digestive and microbial balance
- Individualized supplementation strategies

TEST PREPARATION
For 48 hours before collection, avoid alcohol, coffee, tea, fruit or vegetable juices, avocado, tomato, banana, grapes, raisins, kiwi, pineapple, plantain, plums, prunes, walnuts, pecans, aged or processed cheese, Jell-O, vanilla extract, and ketchup.
Collect your first-morning urine before eating or drinking, ideally after 6–8 hours without urinating. Avoid excessive fluid intake the evening before collection, as an overly diluted sample may be rejected.
Do not collect during menstruation or while experiencing a urinary tract infection. If the urine appears unusually dark, red, brown, or contains visible blood, discard it and collect a new sample.
Medications and supplements may affect results. Do not stop or change them unless directed by your healthcare provider. Carefully follow all instructions included with your collection kit.
IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS
This profile measures urinary organic-acid metabolites that may provide indirect information about metabolic and nutrient-related pathways. It does not directly measure vitamin or mineral concentrations and does not independently diagnose a nutrient deficiency, mitochondrial disorder, yeast or fungal infection, neurotransmitter imbalance, or impaired detoxification. Findings should be correlated with medical history and conventional testing when clinically appropriate.
This wellness test evaluates metabolic patterns and potential functional nutrient needs. It does not independently diagnose vitamin deficiencies, gastrointestinal disorders or other medical conditions. Results should be reviewed alongside symptoms, medical history and guidance from a qualified healthcare professional.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Crisis Box Direct Lab provides administrative access to laboratory testing and educational information. Crisis Box Direct Lab is not a clinical laboratory and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, result interpretation, or emergency medical services.
When required, an independent licensed healthcare provider may authorize the laboratory order through Evexia Diagnostics. This authorization is limited to facilitating the laboratory order and does not constitute a medical consultation or establish ongoing medical care.
Testing is performed by the independent laboratory identified on the requisition and final report. Laboratory results must be interpreted together with your symptoms, medical history, medications, and other relevant clinical information. An abnormal result does not independently establish a diagnosis, and a result within the reference range does not exclude a medical condition.
Do not begin, discontinue, or change any medication, supplement, diet, or treatment based solely on these results. Discuss results and health concerns with a qualified healthcare provider. This service should not be used for emergencies or urgent symptoms.

This ordering pathway is not currently available to residents of New York, New Jersey, or Rhode Island.
