Urine Toxic Metals Test

SAMPLE COLLECTION METHOD: At-Home Urine Collection

Turnaround Time: 7 business days

This test requires a urine sample collected at home. Your collection kit includes step-by-step instructions for collecting and returning your sample to the laboratory.

Gain a clearer view of potential environmental and occupational metal exposure.

The Urine Toxic Metals Test measures the urinary excretion of 20 potentially toxic elements, including lead, mercury, arsenic, cadmium, aluminum, and gadolinium. This comprehensive assessment can provide valuable insight into exposure patterns and help identify findings that may benefit from additional evaluation.

Potential metal exposure may occur through environmental, occupational, dietary, or medical sources. Because individual exposure and elimination patterns can vary, this test offers a practical way to gather objective information that can support a more informed conversation with a qualified healthcare professional.

What This Test Evaluates

• Broad Metal Exposure: Screens for 20 potentially toxic elements within a single urine assessment.

• Commonly Recognized Toxic Metals: Includes lead, mercury, arsenic, cadmium, aluminum, and other metals commonly associated with environmental or occupational exposure.

• Less Common Elements: Evaluates metals such as gadolinium, thallium, tungsten, uranium, platinum, palladium, and others that are not typically included in routine laboratory testing.

• Urinary Excretion: Measures the metals being eliminated through the urine at the time of collection. Depending on the collection method, results may be reported relative to creatinine or across a timed collection.

This test may be considered by individuals with a known or suspected environmental, occupational, dietary, or medical exposure who want a more detailed understanding of the metals currently being excreted from their bodies.

TEST PREPARATION

Avoid seafood and shellfish for 48 hours before collecting your urine sample, as these foods may temporarily increase certain heavy metal levels. Follow all collection instructions included with your kit.

Do not stop or change any medications or supplements unless directed by your healthcare provider.

IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS

This test measures the urinary concentrations of the listed metals and random urine creatinine. Urinary concentrations may be influenced by recent exposure, diet, hydration, kidney function, and collection conditions. An elevated result does not by itself establish poisoning, total body burden, or the source of exposure, and a result within range does not exclude exposure. Chelation or other treatment should not be started based solely on this test.

Results should be interpreted alongside personal exposure history, symptoms, collection method, and other clinical findings. This test alone does not diagnose metal poisoning or determine total body burden.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

This test is intended for informational and wellness purposes. Results are estimates based on epigenetic patterns and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Always discuss medical concerns and significant health decisions with a qualified healthcare professional.

Crisis Box Direct Lab provides administrative access to laboratory testing and educational information. Crisis Box Direct Lab is not a clinical laboratory and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, result interpretation, or emergency medical services.

When required, an independent licensed healthcare provider may authorize the laboratory order through Evexia Diagnostics. This authorization is limited to facilitating the laboratory order and does not constitute a medical consultation or establish ongoing medical care.

Testing is performed by the independent laboratory identified on the requisition and final report. Laboratory results must be interpreted together with your symptoms, medical history, medications, and other relevant clinical information. An abnormal result does not independently establish a diagnosis, and a result within the reference range does not exclude a medical condition.

Do not begin, discontinue, or change any medication, supplement, diet, or treatment based solely on these results. Discuss results and health concerns with a qualified healthcare provider. This service should not be used for emergencies or urgent symptoms.
