At-Home Mycotoxin Exposure Panel 📦
Advanced Mycotoxin Exposure Panel
Comprehensive Urine Mycotoxin Assessment
Collection Method: At-Home Urine Collection
A urine sample is collected conveniently at home using the provided collection kit and then shipped to the laboratory for specialized mycotoxin analysis.
Turnaround Time: 7–10 Business Days
Results are typically available within 7–10 business days after the laboratory receives the sample. Processing times may vary depending on sample quality, laboratory volume, or additional testing requirements.
Go beyond basic wellness testing and explore potential exposure to toxins produced by common environmental molds.
The Mycotoxin Panel is a comprehensive urine-based assessment designed to detect and quantify multiple mycotoxins—harmful compounds produced by certain molds that may be encountered through indoor environments, water-damaged buildings, food, or other environmental sources.
Because exposure may not always be obvious, this panel provides objective information that can help identify patterns of mycotoxin exposure and support more personalized conversations around environmental wellness, lifestyle, and reducing potential sources of exposure.
What This Test Evaluates
The panel assesses several major groups of mycotoxins, including:
- Ochratoxin A
- Aflatoxins – including Aflatoxin B1, B2, G1 and G2
- Trichothecenes – including multiple macrocyclic trichothecene compounds
- Gliotoxin
- Zearalenone
Results indicate whether tested mycotoxins are Not Present, Equivocal, or Present, with quantitative values provided when applicable.
Why Test for Mycotoxins?
Mycotoxins are biologically active compounds produced by certain fungi and molds. Exposure can vary considerably depending on a person’s environment, diet, occupation, and other factors.
Testing may provide useful insight for individuals interested in investigating possible environmental exposures, particularly when there is a history of mold or water-damaged building exposure or when unexplained wellness concerns have prompted a broader evaluation.
Personalized Wellness Insights
Results can help guide more informed conversations about:
- Identifying and reducing potential environmental exposures
- Home and workplace environmental considerations
- Nutrition and lifestyle strategies
- Antioxidant and nutritional support
- Supporting the body’s natural detoxification pathways
- Determining whether additional environmental or wellness evaluation may be appropriate
Simple At-Home Collection
This panel uses a urine sample, making collection convenient and minimally invasive. The sample is analyzed by RealTime Laboratories using specialized testing for mycotoxin exposure.
Ideal for: individuals seeking a deeper understanding of potential mold-related environmental exposures as part of a comprehensive, proactive wellness assessment.
This test is intended to provide laboratory information about detectable mycotoxins and should not be used by itself to diagnose a disease or determine the source of exposure. Results should be interpreted together with health history, environmental history, symptoms, and professional guidance when appropriate.
